As we come to the end of our time together I would like to say thank you for giving me another year FULL of moments to treasure. Please indulge me a little as I reflect:
~ we've welcomed new additions to our extended family, and learnt of new ones in the making
~ we've reconnected with family near and far
~ we've spent many happy moments at the beach and parks just enjoying the company of friends and family. Boogie boards were used in excess, creeks were explored and food was eaten
~ father and daughter discovered that they could camp together and survive
~ sporting carnivals were run, swum and enjoyed
~ we said goodbye to lazy wintery saturday mornings thanks to netball
~ milestones were reached - baptisms, ear piercings, turning 5, last day of childcare
~ friendships were formed as a result of a common interest in books
~ retail therapy was indulged
~ new interests/skills discovered - scrapbooking, photography, hairdressing
~ there were sleepovers, for kids (thanks to willing family and brave teachers) and parents (thanks to Ewan)
Scattered in between these moments were feelings of frustration, helplessness, disappointment and sadness, tears shed, tiredness endured but these were fleeting and replaced with joy, pride, laughter and general contentment.
So thank you, thank you for indulging us and most importantly for keeping us all safe.
I hope that 2009 is just as full of new experiences and moments.
Happy New Year
