Sit down, hold on tight and enjoy the ride

When I was 8 weeks pregnant we were given the news that we were expecting twins, some weeks later we found out that they were boys - from this time on we knew we would be in for the ride of our lives.

The last 5 years has been like sitting on a swing, twisting yourself around and then letting yourself spin out of control. Just as you've untwisted yourself there is a moment of calmness and then your spinning out of control the other way.

It's been five years of constant....constant noise, constant destruction, constant energy, constant laughs, constant kaos.

Mr R - is one tough nut to crack. He is particular about everything. He likes to have a clean, unwrinkled tissue under his pillow at night. He doesn't like his clothing to be wet. He likes his shoes to be tightly on his feet. He knows the names to all the Thomas trains. He's not adventurous with food. He likes bananas but wont eat apples. He knows which place mat is his, even when I think they are all the same. He makes you work for a smile but you know he's enjoying making you do this. He remembers every promise you make.

Mr C - my cuddly boy (cuggles - as they are known in our house). He likes the colour green. "Whatever" is used frequently by him. He likes apples, and carrots, and grapes, and.... He likes food. He likes to draw. He likes playing games on Playstation, and is happy for you to assist him. He's considerate and is generally happy to share (unlike his brother who openly says "I can't share"). He likes to just "be" with you. He likes to sneak up on you and surprise you. He likes to whisper secrets in your ears.
