If ever our house were hit by a disaster and crumbled to the ground, I swear all you would see in the aftermath would be two 5 year olds sitting on their beds TOTALLY engrossed in their Nintendo DS's, oblivious to anything that didn't appear on their 2 x 2 inch screen.

I understand the technology addiction
"Hi my name is Aunty Dee and I'm addicted to NDS, Wii, Xbox, and PC. I currectly have to consider a doctors vist because my RSI has extented from my elbow to my left thumb (the one I use for moving characters around) and my eyesight is completely shot by 4pm. I'm only able to type this well because I took touch typing in year 10. And I was able to read your post by being 30cms from the screen and squinting. Help me I'm pathetic.
I totally understand what you're talking about. The boy with autism who I work with has a nintendo DS and when he plays, it seems like he goes deaf or something because he doesn't respond to anything that is going on around him.
I think we are all the same ... I have just located a small bump on my left finger due to playing the X-Box .... lol .... But my beloved daughter and son are the same they love their DS's ...
I was sewing a curtain for the girl's window. I don't even have a rod to hang it on, I just pinned it up, but I was desperate. They wake up too early!
