There is nothing more satisfying than accomplishing a task. Today my goal was to get the vegie patch cleared of the winter weeds and plant this summers harvest.
Lettuce (seedlings and seeds), capsicum, tomatoes (cherry and normal), parsley, oregano, coriander, basil, thyme

I have one empty spot that I'm not sure what to plant there. In previous years I have planted carrots but I can never tell when they are ready to be harvested. Normally corn is planted but Jett, the beagle, just thinks we have planted these for his own amusement. I was thinking maybe watermelon, or strawberries - any ideas?
The backdrop to the vegie patch are my fruit trees - peach, apricot, nectarine, apple - it's going to be a delicious summer.

Wow it looks wonderful. I have such clever girls - boy's are yet to prove themselves as far as gardening goes. Can't wait for harvest time. I love it when you can go and pick fresh herb from your own garden.
Guess where I am going to spend alot of my summer !!!! Looks great ....
We always have more luck with strawberries, but homegrown watermelon is always sooo good! Good luck to you, the garden looks wonderful.
I had to look twice to see whose blog I was reading as it is getting very cold in Ohio and everyone has harvested and canned for the last couple of months. I am enjoying Florida and missing the kids so....Will be home for Elijah's birthday in December, but will be like an ice-block then. Your garden looks great. Home grown vegies are the best....love to all...xoxox.....di

Please--come visit our little plot of cement, the one with a tomato box on the fire escape, and teach us how to make something, anything, grow.
We just moved and Austin and I are talking about doing planters for a garden. Yours looks really good though, I'm not so sure I have the 'green thumb' for it.
