In Adelaide the Christmas holiday season is heralded in on the 2nd Saturday in November by the Christmas Pageant.
The pageant is sponsored by the Credit Unions in Adelaide and since I am employed by one of the Credit Unions I get the great privilege of being a part of this great community event.
I have only been in the pageant once before as an Alien and this year I am part of a new float featuring the most gorgeous dragon.
This years pageant will be extra special because Ailish will be participating with me. We won't be on the same float together but we'll be able to share the day together.
Today was the media launch of a couple of the new floats and Ailish and I were lucky enough to be a part of it. Ailish's picture is on the newspapers website and tomorrow we'll be scouring the newspaper for a glimpse of her again.

growing up the john martin's pageant was the highlight of the year. and then get to go have a little chat with him? oh happy day!!
i was always a little jealous though of the kids who got to ride. i think it's still a secret dream to ride on a float and wave to the masses.

Looks fun. Ailish is now one of those elite school kids who has crossed the great blue line of the christmas pageant.
