Today Ailish had her netball presentation and received her first trophy. The inscription at the bottom of the trophy reads...ATTACKING STAR.
This was her first season playing netball and we discovered that she is a natural. She picked up the rules of the game quickly and she made the defence position her own. At every opportunity she tried to intercept the ball ensuring that the opposition had to fight to get the ball to goals.
Since it's a winter sport, and they play outside, the girls really had to battle the elements. They played through rain, and I mean lots of rain, wind and very cold mornings. The girls lost some matches and won some great games. Their improvement was noticeable and by the end of the season the girls beat the top two teams. I think this was the most successful first year team in the history of the school.

Dee, I tried to install the software on Friday but it kept coming up with a message to insert the CS3 disc. I tried a couple of times. I think I'm going to have to bring it over for you or Mick to look at.
