Our lives are joined by moments that we experience - here are a few moments that have happened in our lives in the last little while.
This morning we woke up to rain and a power failure. Luckily I have just finished drying off my hair, otherwise I would have gone into work looking like a drowned rat. I had to apply my makeup by torch light. Unfortunately I hadn't ironed my shirt or Ailish's uniform, so I promptly had to re-think my wardrobe and Ailish's uniform received a few strong shakes.Normally it is hard to get the kids out of bed in the morning, but this morning was an adventure. We had breakfast by camp light and Callum brought out his flashing Buzz Light Year gun to assist with the lighting deficiency.

We took delivery of a new washing machine recently. After much research we decided to go with the environmentally friendly front loader. Our old machine was a top loader so it was very exciting when the machine was installed and we could admire our new purchase.
The boys were fascinated by the fact that you could see the washing spinning around. For the first day or two I would find them sitting in front of the machine watching it. Thomas the Tank Engine was second place, for just a moment, to the new washing machine.

i hate ironing and will get out of it as much as possible - i always keep a spray bottle of water handy - a quick spritz or two, and then a couple of hearty shakes does wonders!!
breakfast by torchlight sounds fun - make-up by torchlight might be a little scary - rule of thumb...less is more!! :)
I secretly love blackouts because you have to light so many candles! Hee hee!
