Finally San Francisco with photos

So while i'm on a blogging role i thought i better post some pics of our San Francisco trip.

Seeing the Golden Gate Bridge was fantastic. After seeing it's image in movies and on television it was a great feeling to see it in person. It's rustic red colour expanding over a strait of water that opens up into the pacific ocean was a little dream come true.

The kids really didn't seem to grasp the fact that the bridge is one of the world's most recognisable icons. To them it was just a bridge that mum took too many photos of and made us walk on, but in time i'm sure they'll get it.

The architecture, colour and detail around the area on the early 1900 buildings is fantastic. I love that people have tried to individualise their homes by painting them in beautiful colours.

On our bus tour we got to drive by the Full House house. The owners of the house have put a little sign up saying that it's not the house, i guess they are tired of tourists knocking on their door, but that sign isn't fooling anyone!

The other thing i really wanted to see was the crookedest street in the world, but to get there it seemed like we had to walk up the steepest street in the world, in the rain, with the winiest kids in the world.....oops i meant the most amazing kids in the world!!!!

But it was worth the walk.

The street is paved with red bricks and just has the most gorgeous hedging and hydrangeas bordering it.

We were only in San Francisco for 2 full days but we seemed to fit quite a bit in. We also had hot chocolates in Ghiradelli Square, ate at a diner for the first time, went to the wharf, saw the ice rink in the middle of the shopping district and tried to adjust our bodies to our new time zone.

I would love to go back and discover what's on the other side of the bridge and head out to Alcatraz (you can see it in the middle of this shot).

Lastly, while we didn't do any shopping i did take this photo for Michael V., i thought that this would be his idea of a great place to shop!
