A label I can live with, I've been called worse

For the gazillion dollars we spend on health insurance each year (so ok I'm exagerating a bit, it's a little under a gazillion) we never seem to get our moneys worth. And while each year we look at what expenses we can cut back on, health insurance is just one that we grin and bear.

Today I discovered a sure fire way to recoop our costs ~ send the kids to the dentist 6 or 7 times a year.

So a little excessive, I think it's called munchenhausen syndrome. But after taking all three today and receiving an invoice for $550 and not having to pay a cent, it's something worth considering.

count your blessings...when 3 of the 4 kids were going into braces at the same time i knew the cost wasn't gonna be pretty - after discounts for multiple kids, paying off one bill up front and insurance contributions we were still out about $7500.

and now caitlin just found out she needs braces to help fix a teeth grinding habit...

heaven help us!

love you all.

Being on the lowest extras we could find we actually manage to get full benefit. Dentist trips twice a year for the whole family, optometrist appointments for both of us adults and any prescriptions we need. We find it totally worth it. This might all change when we have to step up to ful cover from extras only. ut after paying $625 for an ambulance when I was pregnant, we figure it's worth if if we don't have to do that again!
