Ailish had 6 girls over on Friday night for a sleepover party.
Ewan kindly offered to take the boys out for a couple of hours and they escaped and went and played playstation at Stewart's.
First up I made them work for their fun. I had made some pizza dough earlier that afternoon so I had the girls make their own pizzas. They put their own toppings on and 15 minutes later dinner was served.
Next came the fun. Given that the girls were all a little older this year I figured they could pretty much entertain themselves. Ailish wanted pass-the-parcel and they played musical chairs. Singstar got a work out - especially the High School Musical songs. After they watched Enchanted and Hairspray.
By the time the movies were finished it was just before 1am and only three of the girls (Ailish and two others) were still awake. Ailish earlier that day had told me that when the lights were out she wanted everyone to tell secrets. I didn't hear much secret sharing because they were all asleep within about 10 minutes.
They woke about 7am the next morning and I made them pancakes for breakfast. By 11am they had all been picked up.
Ailish had a great time and I got more sleep than I thought - bonus.

i'm not familiar with singstar, but it looks like a lot of fun. love the lights and the "Martha Stewart" cupcakes. We sometimes work so hard for our children and they don't realize the difference. i hope thay will someday.
sing star is too much fun. a bit of kareoke at tonights ward activity. Ailish can definately sleep over next school holidays as long as she brings enchanted, i still haven't seen it. good pics.
