Rowan is quite a fussy little individual.
He likes order.
All the toys in his room have to be in their right place at the end of the day.
He doesn't like carrots, won't have them on his plate.
He know's which school tie is his, from the 3 that look exactly the same to me.
And he likes his hair long and straight, not short and spiky like his brother............

Until last night.............
Last night when I was cutting the boys hair Rowan pipes up that he wants the same haircut as his friend at school.
His friend's hair is definitely a crew cut....short, fine prickles of hair on top of his head.
I was completely taken off guard with his request and repeatedly asked him if that was what he really wanted. Each time the answer came back as "I want my hair cut just like Sol's"
So reluctantly I did it.
I did it in stages, gradually using a smaller comb on the clippers, in the off chance that he changed his mind (i was hoping).
But he didn't.
During the evening I would catch him skimming his palms over his brisselly stubbled scalp, pleased as punch.
He loves it and that is all that matters, although I am hoping he decides that he would like to grow his hair back by the next haircut.
