A whole 'nother language

I consider myself a pretty tech savvy person

I'm not afraid to give new technology a go

I know how to use the complicated tv/amplifier/hdd/surround sound system Ewan has hooked up

I can unplug & plug in the gaming systems we have into the tv

I know my way around my dslr

I'm using our external hard drive to backup my pictures and use it to watch shows saved on it

Thanks to our GPS I can get around anywhere

I use the bluetooth in the car

I google, I use Firefox

I know my .jpeg from my .doc files

I Skype, Facebook, Blog

I don't Twitter - don't really see the point, but i'm open to hear about any useful applications it might have

My iPod goes just about everywhere with me

I have a mobile, but I would love an iPhone so that I could play with all the apps

I text on my mobile - but i generally write the whole word....lol, rofl, ur - that's the extent of my texting shorthand

What I just DON'T get is pre-emptive texting - it's stupid & frustrating!! - What makes it think it knows what I want to say? Sometimes I don't even know what I'm trying to say

Ingrid tried to convince me last night it's just that I don't understand how to use it, that it's really useful......well I beg to differ, when I try to write hello it came up with Hiddk? When I try to type in p it comes up with S???

This thing is not speaking my language

pressing the right buttons would probably help your cause to "understand" how to use it!!! l & d arent even on the same button & neither are i & e nor k & o - atleast they arent on mine...... do you want me to teach you how to use it?

As the one person in this family who is actually employed as ICT I'll handle this guys. Did you turn it on? Is it plugged in? Just turn it off and on again and if you are still having the same problem I'll come and check it out.

I hate predictive text too Kristie until i got my iphone! The predictive text is actually words you have typed or do use. It's very good!!!
