It hailed for a good 5 minutes today.
Luckily the boys and I observed this from the comfort of our warm house. When the hail started my thoughts instantly went to Ailish who is at school without a rain jacket. I'm sure she'll be fine.
The boys enjoyed getting out amongst the hail and eating it. Normally I wouldn't encourage eating off the ground but I made an exception this time.

as a kid that was one of the highlights of winter - we would run around after school scraping up the hail that had banked up against the buildings and munch on it as we hussled home to get warm!
I haven't seen hail in such a long time! Your post brought back many good memories of playing with hail like it was snow when I was a kid. I knew there was something good about winter...
I would gladly trade you our summer for a winter! As you know we are in the middle of a freakin desert and its HOT HOT HOT. At least 42 each day of dry heat. What I wouldnt give for rain..........haha or hail!!
The only ice around here right now is in our snow cone maker. i just cooled off staring at that pile of snow in the top photo. What fun!
